The phrase "established methods" can frequently get in the way. When attempting
spirit communication through EVP there should be some requirements we can
expect to put in place, but are we all but eliminating those necessary efforts to
think outside the box or shift the paradigms of our search? It seems that
sometimes we discourage communication success by removing the acceptance
of possible, credible results for the sake of adhering to a strong and well-
established status quo. EVP have never been the stuff of status quo, and
sometimes the more we try to define, the more we lose sight of the meaning.
